BIO

Hearsay

Dylan Ingwersen is allegedly from Australia and started circus when he was 8 years old. Supposedly, he has trained and performed at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus for 8 years during which time it seemed that he had performed around Australia including the Sydney Opera House and overseas in Istanbul.
According to those closest to him, he has made a couple of shows with some friends and partners that have been performed around Australia at various Fringe Festivals including Adelaide and Melbourne. But evidence is scant.
He says he specialises in Corde Lisse and there are rumours of dabbling in Acrobike and general porting (Russian bar, Banquine, hand to hand). It looks like most of his work revolves around text and ways to incorporate dialogues or monologues in with movement and the desire to push his performance into a direction away from circus and towards something unknown.

Happy Enough

Something I worked on for several months of my life and one of the few things I'm proud of

Watch the fool dance. Watch him spin his little web. Oh! How he dances. Round and round he goes. Watch the fool climb. Up up up into the trees like a monkey. Higher than all the others. You can’t hide. Watch the fool lie. Careful you don’t trip on the tongue. It looks slippery. Watch the fool perform. It is the final performance of the season. Be entertained. Laugh and cry. What is he hiding? Such a tragedy. Round and round he goes slipping and tripping on that forked tongue of his. No one to blame but himself.
